Missin Lena x Tig's Spittin Image

pedigree of sire                                        pedigree of dam

Rodeo is a gorgeous dun filly with a nice blaze. She is very friendly filly; she loves attention and to be loved on.  She has awilling-to-please attitude which makes training on this filly fun.  A horse that has this type of pleasing attitude can make all the difference in the world between a winner and an average horse.  Rodeo is a very spirited filly and all that spirit will carry her easily through the tough and strenuous times a working horse runs into.  Her spirit and pleasing attitude under the right hands will help her to make her one tough contender in the reining, working cowhorse, or any other performance horse field.  Her beauty will please that inner most part of a horseman. She has truly excellent breeding!

Rodeo's sire, Missin Lena (1990 AQHA sorrel), includes the lines of Doc Bar (2X's), Missin Cash, and Dash for Cash.  His sire his Miss N Cash (World Champion Sire with $124,662 NCHA earnings).  His dam, Eureka Lena, is a multiple Superior producer sired by Doc O'Lena.  With that behind him, it's no wonder that Missin Lena was a top ten super horse in the early 90's. He earned 189 AQHA Performance Points, Superior Heading, Superior Heeling, ROM Reining, ROM Calf Roping, Points in Cow Horse and Team Penning, National Top Ten Cow Horse and Calf Roping.

Rodeo's dam, Tig's Spittin Image, our 'Chamois', is a pretty dun mare that was injured as a weanling in 2000, which limited her life to that of a broodmare. She is a great producer. Chamois is by our stallion, Hijo De La Tigre (a grandson of Poco Bueno) out of our  mare, Assured Seas, who is by Assuredville.  Assuredville is by Nashville TB a top race horse producer and stakes winner, and out of the black type mare Miss Assured who produced 2 All American Derby winners after the age of 18. She was also a multiple stakes producing mare.   Assured Seas' dam was Queen's Oceanette TB. There are pictures of her roping on the 'Our Horses' web pages.  She was a tall stout Thoroughbred mare that was one of the best head horses ever. She loved to cut cattle and run barrels. Though she was a TB, her first love was anything to do with working cattle.  Chamois' dam was our mare Bitochick.  She is by Mr. McChick by Triple Chick, out of a Go Man Go granddaughter, also boasting of bloodlines such as Apple Cash, and Oklahoma Star.  Bitochick was a consistent barrel horse, winning many saddles and cash. She also found, in later life, that she loved team penning and sorting until a colt-induced injury left her crippled.
