Howard E. Harvey AKA 'Harv' was taken home by our Lord Jesus Christ on January 1, 2006 at Hemet Valley Medical Center, he was 83 years old. Born Dec. 20, 1922 to Caleb and Edna Harvey in Ontario, Calif. He was raised on the family farm in Eastvale, Ca. Howard enlisted in the United States Army in 1944 and served in Okinawa and the Philippines. He drove a tank in the tank corps. He married his wife Stella Bellinis of Norco. They continued to live in Norco where Howard raised turkeys and farmed. He showed and won with his turkeys at the 1941 Hemet Utility and Turkey Show in Hemet as a young man.
Howard was a 4-H leader, he coached girls softball teams and little league baseball teams, he was also the youth leader at the First Church of God in Corona and sang in the choir. They moved to San Jacinto in 1972 where he raised Chester white swine and had Harv’s Tractor Service in which he did weed abatement for Hemet/San Jacinto and surrounding areas for over 20 years. He attended the Homeland First Church of God where he also sang in the choir and helped with youth functions. In the later years he attended Calvary Chapel San Jacinto and Hemet Christian Assembly.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Stella, his daughter and her husband Eileen and Tony Coronado of Romoland, and their children Clint and Travis Koons, Brett and Connie Coronado and great grandkids, Kegan and Jocelyn Coronado; his son and wife David and Frances Harvey, children Robert Whitman and Nicholas Harvey of Hemet. His sister Geraldine Harris age 90 of Eugene, Oregon and brother Clair Harvey, 79 of Meridian, Idaho, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Celebration of life services will be held Tuesday January 10 at 11am at the Calvary Chapel Hemet on 26121 Hemet St. in Hemet and the private graveside service will be the following day at the Riverside National Cemetery.
