BG is our red merle boy. He is an adorably loving clown who exhibits the fierce loyalty that Aussies are known for. BG loves everyone he meets, but don't mess with his mama. Whenever I am working with horses or cattle, my fluffy red merle guardian angel is always there, just in case I need him. He is my self appointed guardian. When I have to leave, he lays by the gate until I come back, even if its for several days. He waits till I get home, and is always so happy and thrilled that I've come back, even if I've only been gone a few minutes. BG is the perfect description of Aussie loyalty.
We have done well in the conformation ring and had started in agility, but due to a back injury and subsequence arthritis, he had to stop climbing the contacts. We had done a little herding as well, and drew comments from trainers such as Anna Guthrie, a well known BC trainer in CA, that BG has more natural balance when moving a flock of sheep than any Aussie she has had the pleasure to work with . Due to his arthritic back issues, we've pretty much stopped him from any of the punishing physical challenges, he so enjoyed.
BG has sired some of the most beautiful puppies in mind and body, that do quite well in the show ring. His bloodlines are strong and come from good clean stock. He passes on his loving and sweet disposition, which he comes by naturally as both his dad (GoGo) Coronado's Gorgeous Hombre, and mom (Tyler) Woodwinds Colorme Red Sundown a multiple champion producer, by Hall of Fame Ch. Rosewoods Red Hot Special, were the sweetest most loving dogs that anyone would ever have the pleasure to be owned by. I've been totally blessed to have this particular line of dogs. I am so pleased that these traits are still being passed on to our puppies today.
